We used to use https://www.burkeoil.com/ for our propylene glycol. They do offer additional services so might be worth a phone call.

Does Hartford Steam, or your insurance carrier, have any preferred vendors?

    Good luck,

    April 6, 2021 at 2:36 pm #38922

    Hi Dave,

If this is part of your active intruder and lockdown procedures you should talk with your local building inspector and/or Fire Chief to get their take on it. In my prior district we had everything set up much like Don described with a key cylinder both outside and inside. Other districts have gone with push and turn knob lock and not a key. I’d worry with a locker room that bad things might  happen on a day to day with a student having ability to lock the door. Sexual harassment, rape, bullying all become easier in an isolated area that kids can lock themselves in.

    Good luck,

    Ken

I’m a big fan of the new rubber solutions. Lower maintenance, sustainable and work toward your green points, and better acoustically than LVT or other hard surface solutions.

Nora was acquired by Interface a couple years ago now, and the other heavy hitters also have a rubber line.

    Good luck!

In reply to: Trane or York Chillers?

    March 19, 2021 at 11:36 am #38889

    Eric,

I don’t have chillers, but I just purchased two York units one to replace an existing Trane unit, other to add AC in a shop for the school. I have all Trane units that were installed back  in 2013. I can say that I have had my fair share of problems with them. Parts are all proprietary for the Trane unit. The York unit, I believe you can get them from FW WEBB. 6K is a lot of cash to give up. Good luck either way you go.

    Hey Dave,

Depending on how much furniture you need you can likely work with suppliers to use your classrooms as test sites for figuring out which furniture you want to purchase as part of the total project. Mix it up and let teachers be part of the decision making process.

You other option might be to contact IRN or similar furniture re-purpose group as they would have older furniture that you could rent or purchase and have them recycled when you are done with them. Contact Emerson and he might be able to help. elennon@irnsurplus.com

Emerson is one of our panel speakers at our Virtual Conference next month talking with DEP about furniture recycle-reuse.

    Good luck,

    Ken
