No you can’t make this up. We have forms to request dates,space and they are approved by each administrator then myself and Super. Yes basketball folks seem to feel entitled for sure. Here they are supposed to let us know if cancelling within 48 hours. When bad weather(snow,ice) we touch base with them as soon as we know. I assign all overtime events, we rotate basketball league with all staff ahead of the season on a seperate list to make it fair. I would set up a meeting with that group to set the dates in advance and review the final schedule prior to the season to avoid that situation,that worked for me with one group a couple of years ago and it’s been ok since.
