Will a state sponsored off site community solar agreement affect a power option agreement in any way?
How will a community solar agreement affect or enhance a solar project installed on site for a school?
Will the Community solar programs be a thing of the past or more of the future?

July 29, 2022 at 10:12 am #40470Because of all the changes to the Schooldude organization. Could anyone share with me a letter sent to schooldude notifying them of your request to change.
My reason to be looking into this change are their cost increases, service support challenges now that the company has made a lot of changes, their software is now getting outdate and there has been no software upgrades in six years.

In reply to: School’s Cancelled for the Year – Now What?
April 22, 2020 at 11:57 am #36898Here at Algonquin Regional, we are working on the same ideas to get back on track. We started to work on our guidelines for our staff. These are just the start of a drafts we are kicking around.
Not sure if this would help anyone but be safe!
Contractor Guideline Information for Facilities Staff
*Before having a Contractor entering or working in your facilities, please read.
To limit exposure to our employees and communities.
We continually monitors CDC and State guidance, as well as industry best practices, to update its policies and practices accordingly. Our organization has been identified as one that provides key services to parts of our operations, and thus, we are sharing the following updated information and guidance.
Face coverings:
In response to the recommendations by CDC for face coverings to prevent the spread of illness by asymptomatic individuals, and the recent executive orders from New York and Rhode Island, we are now requiring ARHS employees and contractors working on our sites or at our facilities to wear face coverings in the situations below.
Please note that this applies to both office and field-based individuals and applies across all jurisdictions.
- When working in public places
- When working in a classroom environment.
- When social distancing is not able to be maintained with a co-worker or member of the public in a work location or school vehicle.
In addition, we ask that you follow the below additional guidance:
- Disposable masks need to be changed daily or if significantly dirty.
- Face pieces must be made from Flame Resistant (FR) material if they are worn when working in an school zone or there grounds.
- Reusable FR Balaclavas and neck warmers need to be laundered daily, according to CDC cleaning guidance.
Working with Contractors:
ARHS has issued the following updated recommendation for those entering any school premise:
- Ask before you enter: Ask if anyone at home is feeling sick, is on quarantine, or if there is any chance that the contractor may have been exposed to an individual with the coronavirus.
- Keep your distance; The best way to prevent illness is to avoid exposure. Maintain a distance of at least six feet from others, and ask others to maintain that same distance from you
If you must open the school door, ask them to step back and maintain a minimum distance of 6 feet before moving to a separate room.
- Contractors are required face covering, they should be asked to use it.
- For unsafe conditions, report the incident to supervision for further guidance
- Wear disposable Latex or Nitrile gloves ; Put on gloves before entering the School.
Avoid touching ANYTHING on the premises other than company equipment and customer equipment related to the job
If work gloves are needed to perform the task, remove disposable latex or nitrile gloves and dispose of them. Don work gloves and perform task. Once task is complete remove work gloves and store them. Don a new pair of disposable latex or nitrile gloves to exit the School.
Remove and dispose in way that won’t create other opportunities for exposure (turn inside out while removing)
Immediately wash / sanitize hands
Glasses/Goggles: These are a standard form of PPE that are expected at all times, for all jobs. They are mentioned here because of the additional protections they provide in this situation.
- Face coverings/masks, Cloth face coverings, as discussed above, are mandatory while in any school building..
N-95 Masks have not been mandated, however ARHS is providing them to employees entering building with unknown COVID concerns on a voluntary basis and encourages contractors to do the same.
We each have an obligation to protect each other and those around us, to help prevent spread of the virus. Thank you for reviewing this communication and taking this requirement seriously.
If there are any questions specific to these requirements, please respond to your supervisor.
