JOB OPENING – TOWN OF SANDWICH
LABORER – SANDWICH DPW

The Town of Sandwich, MA has an opening for a full-time, 40 hour per week, DPW
Laborer. Work schedule is M-F, although weekend work may be required. Laborers
operate various department vehicles and equipment and perform a wide variety of DPW
related tasks such as roadside brushing, paving and drainage work, snow and ice
removal, transfer station work, tree and landscape work, and general maintenance and
cleanup. Laborers work in all types of weather and must be capable of strenuous lifting
and physical effort daily. Candidates 18 years of age and older who are motivated,
flexible, hardworking, and have a positive attitude and demeanor are encouraged to
apply. Class A Commercial Driver’s License is also preferred, however not required for
initial hire but must be obtained within one year from the date of hire. Hourly rate is
$22.29 – $24.92/hour dependent upon current license(s) held. Applications are available
